Canada minister proposes new truck emission standards
Canada’s top environmental politician has unveiled a proposal to require strict emissions limits for heavy-duty trucks beginning for model year 2014. Canada Environment Minister Peter Kent last week said a combination of fuel-efficient engines, aerodynamic truck cabs and idle-reduction technology will save fuel and cut emissions.... Full story

Ontario court hears trucker’s challenge of speed-limiter law
Owner-operator Gene Michaud’s constitutional challenge of the Ontario, Canada, law that requires heavy trucks to be equipped with speed limiters is now in the hands of a judge.
